Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

The Rockshox RS1 was the world's first commercial suspension mtb fork, designed in 1990 by Paul Turner.  It is an iconic design and monkier, so much that Rockshox's current flagship fork is an inverted wonder fork called the RS-1!

This particular fork will need a full rebuild to be functional, or is a great parts fork.  Some of the internals and top caps are missing, and the fork is frozen.  The fork is structurally sound.  It's split crown, original brake brace, bosses, and 1 1/4" steerer are in nice condition and suitable replacement parts.

Condition

Not functional, for parts (see above paragraph).  Cosmetically it's a bit faded, but doesn't have too much cosmetic damage.

Details

  • 1 1/4" threaded steerer (5.5" long)
  • For 26" wheel

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
