Description

Own a piece of cycling history! This was one of the first electronic drivetrains, and likely the very first wireless one!  Mavic Mektronic was the sequel to Mavic Zap, a wired electronic drivetrain.  It is also one of the inspirations for the prestigious Dura Ace DI2, and Campagnolo Record 11 speed electronic drivetrains!

Mektronic used electronic shifting for the rear derailleur, and standard cable operated front shifting.  Features multiple shift buttons!  There are shifting buttons on the tops of the lever, the lever blade, and on a separate unit which can be mounted on the bar end or on aero bars.  Each button trips a solenoid, which initiates a shift.  The group typically came with a Mavic 860/862 front derailleur (one of each for sale on this site).  Includes instruction manual, and Mavic sticker sheet.

*Sold as is, with a super low price.  I haven't tested these, therefore I won't guarantee them.  We have two of these sets, in nearly identical condition.  

Condition

Great used condition.  Just a few  light marks here and there and a bit of grease that could be cleaned out of the derailleur cage better.  One of the shifter clamps has a bit of light rust.  Does NOT have batteries, and the group has not been tested.
