I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This is a rare set of the 1st hydraulic brakes Hayes ever made! Made in 2000 or 2001. They feature the "Danger boy" Flip-flop levers, which can be removed without removing the grips and can be mounted on either side of the bars. G1 calipers. Champagne color with the early purple logos. They use standard Hayes HFX 9/mag pads. One of the only period correct and actually functional disc brakes for those early 2000's mtb restorations.
*Both of these brakes have 705mm long hoses. You would need to get a longer hose to use one as a rear. Simple and easy process.
Condition
Excellent to near mint used condition. Pads look brand new. Paint and decals look great with minimal wear. One brake has a good bleed and nice lever feel, the other needs a bleed.
Details
- Post mount, with included adapters for I.S. mount
- Hose length: Both are 705mm

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
