Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This early 1990's "Aheadset by Dia Compe" headset is pretty rad, and is a killer period correct and historical choice for your retro mountain bike restoration.  Dia Compe's revolutionary "threadless" technology hit the market just a couple years before this model was released.  It's top cup/race is pretty unique.  It's a stepped design, with 4 individual ridges.  Quite tough to find!

Condition

Excellent used shape.  Bearings spin smoothly, minimal marks in finish, slight decal wear.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
