Description

This elusive handlebar was first released in the late 1970's as the 3T Superleggero, and was coined the lightest handlebar in the world.  There's oddly little to no info on this model, but this is a 1980's version judging by the logo style.  From what I can gather, they were a top level bar, and were only issued to racing teams.  No info is available as to what the "E" represents.  The Mod. Merckx refers to the shape of the bend, aka the Merckx Bend.

Condition

Very good used condition, though someone installed/removed a stem from it a bit roughly and there's a good bit of marking all along the clamp area.  Once a stem is installed it it looks fine, but certainly not for a show bike.  The wrapped section of bars shows light wear consistent of a bar that has been ridden but taken care of.   Logos and markings are fuly intact.
