I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Tony Pereira Randonneur: 55cm x 57cm-Fillet Steel- Chris King/Paul..
This exquisite randonneuse machine was Tony Pereira of Breadwinner Cycles's personal touring rig. It won him 3rd place in the 2006 NAHBS. He rode it all over the world and sold it to me during his Breadwinner moving sale earlier this year. I REALLY want to keep it for myself as it's one of the best handling bikes I've ever ridden, right up with the 1982 Merz Reynolds 753. But I have too many bikes and I try not to keep expensive bikes with tires under 42c anymore. This fits 700x32c with fenders, and 35's or likely 38's without fenders.
This beauty is fillet brazed from lightweight steel (Tony didn't remember which tubing), and has too many cool features to list. French constructeur-style in honor of the old masters Rene Herse, Alex Singer, Daudon, Jo Routens—the bicycle was constructed as a whole system vs just a frame to mount parts on. It is built with it's own custom racks/stem/decaleur. First to note is that gorgeous high stack stem with raised silver logo on the extension and bell mount, & decaleur mount. Then you'll notice the unique finely crafted racks that deviate from the standard rack pattern. Their tombstones sit further forward/rearward than typical, to center the load over the axles. The front rack mounts with two bolts on top of the crown and fork end eyelets, forgoing the standard mid-fork braze ons. It has an integrated hanging headlight mount. Tony added lowrider mounts years after the build. The frame is fillet brazed, with faux lugs at the top tube's junctions with long tangs pantographed with the Pereira logo. Slots for three spare spokes on chainstay.
The build: The build is a mix focused on top performance, easily replaced parts, and aesthetics. Chris King / SON hubs, BB, and headset to start, Paul Neo Retro / Touring cantilever brakes to stop. XTR / Ultegra to shift. Triple crank, bar end shifters. Nitto Noodle bars in 42cm
Condition
It has a fresh professional tuneup and is ready to ride. Consumables have tons of life left. Brand new tires with less than 30 miles. The only real issue is a shallow dent on the non-drive side of downtube by lower bottle cage braze on. It is a good size dent, but luckily shallow. It wasn't significant enough for Tony who said it happened a while back and felt no need to repair it. There are three photos of it in different lighting/angles, just after the closeup of the trophey. This is the reason for the low price. Not a speck of rust anywhere. Original paint shows the patina to match years of touring, but is still deep and glossy in the clean spaces. It looks very nice if you like patina, or get it a fresh coat in your favorite color scheme.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
