Description

Titan was a high end Belgian manufacturer of handlebars and stems from the 1930's through the late 1970's.  This is a bit of a variant from most Titan bars, which are spelled with an E, "Luxe" instead of Lux on this one.  It's also shimmed to a standard 25.4mm, where Titan's are usually about 27mm shimmed.  The bar shape is nice for city bikes and trekking bikes.  It's almost a very shallow and short North Roads style,  Quite unique piece!  

It's possible this isn't actually made by Titan, but I can't find any more info on it.  If anybody knows about this bar, I'd love to hear from you!

Condition

Great lightly used shape.  The bar itself looks great with only some very light scratches.  The shim does have some marks from the stem, but is straight.

  • Bar clamp: with shim, 25.4mm.  Without shim, 22.0mm (22.0 is a common older French bar size)
  • Length: 505mm, center of one end to center of the other end
  • Rise: approximately 35mm center of bar clamp to center of end
  • Sweep: approximately 55mm center of bar clamp to center of end
  • Made in Belgium
