Simply put SKF bottom brackets are THE BEST square taper bottom brackets ever made!  Yes, that means they're even better than Phil Wood bb's.  SKF is the largest bearing manufacturer in the world, and they designed these bb's to last.  They're so sure of that fact, that they offer a 10-year warranty! (Bike Recyclery cannot honor this warranty).  The quality is apparent as soon as you take a spin with your fingers.  It's so smooth, you may sit there and spin it for an hour :)

Why are they so good?  The bearings roll directly on the spindle and shell, which allows for roller bearings on the drive-side and extra large 4.8mm bearings (vs other high end bb's using 2.8mm).   They have patented multi-stage seals to keep the grease in, and the water/grit/sand out.  The bb is made completely of corrosion proof stainless steel and aluminum.
