Description
Description
First version of the legendary SLJ retrofriction shifters! These were made ~1973 to 1981. They are a clamp on style, and have the fancy Simplex S logo at the top of the lever blades. Quite an elegant design. These are the second type, the first type was pure friction and made 1972-1973. They can visually be identified via the little nubs at the bottom of the lever blades, which house the retro-friction clutch springs.
Condition
Very good used shape. There is some corrosion on the clamp and hardware, plus light ano wear at the bottom of the lever blades. Note the Campagnolo D-wing tension screws that replaced the standard flat head screws it came with

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
