I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Description
Description
The Super LJ was considered by many the best vintage derailleur of all time. It was a welcome reprive from Simplex's disappointing plastic derailleurs, and shifted even better than Campagnolo! This one is a model 5500, with a gold faceplate. It has a dropout/axle mount, and would need a different (but standard) mount bolt for a derailleur hanger.
This model is highly sought after by randonneur's and constructeurs for use on Alex Singer bikes, as well as and vintage lightweight racing bikes. They came stock on many early Rivendell bikes.
Condition
Good to very good condition. Could use a better cleaning and a polish, but is free from scrapes/big scratches/scuffs. Would probably come out looking quite nice. Pulleys are smooth with minimal wear. Springs/pivots tight.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
