Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

First generation XT Deer Head!  These moto-style levers were made only 1983-1986, and are excellent choices for any retro 1980's mountain bike.  These were stock equipment on many early Stumpjumpers and other early mtb's.  Beautiful glossy black finish, secure 4-finger grip, and great stopping power.

Condition: Great condition, with some marks.  The lever ends are scraped, and there are a few scratches on the lever blades.  Otherwise, just minor marks.

  • For cantilever brakes or road calipers
  • Uses oversized cable end (available below)

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
