Description
The 7400 speed series of Dura Ace derailleurs was Shimano's first venture into indexed shifting, in 1984. They shift superbly, and look classy yet restrained. This is the last version, which opened up compatibility to 8 speed indexed.
As for compatibility, All of the 7400 series variants of derailleurs and shifters are compatible. This will shift with 6sp, 7sp, and 8sp Dura Ace shifters. It will work with non Dura Ace 6/7/8 speed shifters using the B cable routing (consult Sheldon Brown)
Condition
Excellent used shape. The faceplate is pretty clean, though there's a touch of scraping on the lower edge. Some other wear throughout. Certainly not for show bikes, but lots of life left for riders.
