Description
Before Deore was a mountain bike group, Shimano released it as its first touring specific group! It has strong French influences (note the TA style spider), and features the Dyna Drive 24tpi pedal holes that Dura Ace AX and 600AX have. These are rather rare, and only one set has popped up on Ebay in the past 365 days. A must have for early 80's touring bikes, or your living room mantle as a piece of history. Unique and cool!
The spider is an integrated 50t chainring. It does not come with a middle and small ring, but they are attachable. The middle ring is 130mm BCD, and the granny is an odd 85mm BCD.
To use these cranks, you have two options: 1) use Dura Ace AX pedals (like these), Deore AX pedals (we'll be listing a set soon!), or 600AX pedals, or 2) there are adapters available to use standard pedals on this crank.
Condition:
Very good to great used shape. Chainring teeth, tapers, and threads are in great shape. Arm ends only have a few tiny marks. There are scratches throughout the body from use. One Key Release Self extracting crank bolts/dust covers in great shape.
