Description

The 700 CX group was Shimano's first attempt at hybrid specific parts.  They were considered roughly equivilent to Ultegra, and are pretty nice parts!  The feature that makes these stand out from most other Shimano canti's are the fully enclosed springs.  This not only keeps out dirt and allows them to run smoother, but it does away with those cheesy plastic spring side-covers that always break!  They come with rather nice cartridge type Shimano brake pads, though you'll want to find new inserts as these are a bit hard.    These are great for both cyclocross bikes and retro mountain bikes!

Condition

Great shape, hardly a scratch anywhere.  Pad cartridges are in great shape, but the rubber inserts are hard and should be replaced.
