I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This San Marco GS post has a higher polish than most of this model. Perhaps it was polished aftermarket. it does still hold just fine in a 25.4mm frame, it came to me on our 1960's Urago bicycle and was rock solid. This size is used by many of the "screwed and glued" bonded alloy/carbon frames such as the Vitus 979 / 922 and various Alan models, as well as 1940s to 1960s French road/rando frames.
Condition
Excellent to near mint shape with a lovely polish. Above the inserted area it is show worthy with the exception of a long insertion mark up the front side of the post and the clamp pieces have the very beginnings of pitting spots.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
