Description
This decaleur mounted handlebar bag was a special small batch custom job Carradice of England made for Rivendell. Neither Carradice nor Grant Petersen remember the details, but they both confirm it was made for Rivendell. It is built in the same basic design as the Rivendell Baggins Hobo bag, which was a modified canoe pack (which was made by Duluth Pack). This one currently has holes in the rear strip to mount a decaleur, but you could cut strap loops into the rear leather strip to mount sans decaleur.
It uses the same general design principle as the old They both are a "rackless" design, so they can be used with or without a front bag support rack. Both feature a zipper top, two rear pockets, and the leather strip at the top of rear to mount to handlebars (Baggins has strap loops, this one has holes to mount a decaleur)
