I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This rarity has been on display in my shop for years, but it's time to list it for sale.  It is a mid 1980's fillet-brazed unicrown fork that was handmade by Tom Ritchey himself.  It was built for a Commando MTB frame as evidenced by the camouflage paint, though this fork design was used for several other models from ~1984 to 1989, such as the Annapurna, Timberwolf, Team Comp, Ultra, etc.  Tom started building these unicrown forks in about 1984 to evolve from his famous bi-plane forks from earlier models.

The steerer has a Mountain Bike Specialists sticker, a legendary bike shop in Durango Colorado.  The dropouts feature a pair of eyelets, and there are mid-fork braze ons for your rack of choice.

Condition

Excellent used shape.  The fork appears straight and free of dents/bends/damage.  The paint has it's share of general wear, though it looks pretty cool with the patina.

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
