Description
Description
1960's Italian cage is called the "Erector Set" cage, because the drilled sides look like a child's Erector Set toy. This cage design was popular in the when bike racers used cylindrical steel water bottles with cork tops. These bottles did not have any contours that would hold it into a modern bottle cage, so this cage has a hinged clamp that cinches the bottle in the cage.
Condition: Great shape. No bent parts. Chrome looks great, with only a tiny bit of light rust in the corners. The clamp and hinge operate smoothly and are in good shape.
- Chrome finish
- Model: #164
- Made in Italy

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
