Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

Phil Wood is a legend in the bottom bracket and hub market, you simply can't get any better parts.  They spin ultra smoothly, and last forever.  Great for your vintage or modern road bike!  This one is sold without cups, which can be bought new for $37.50 all day long.  This one has a stainless steel shell.

Condition:

Good used condition.  The bearings are still as smooth as most Shimano bb cartridges, but are rough by Phil Wood standards.  They sound/feel dry, but are still smooth with no play.  Definitely useable, just don't put it in your $6000 road bike.

Details:

  • Spindle: 119mm
  • JIS taper (For Shimano, Japanese, and many other cranks)
  • Can use cups for English or Italian threads

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
