Paul MiniMoto Mini V-Brake Set: GOLD - Pair (Near Mint++ Low Miles)

Discontinued limited edition and impossible to find GOLD anodized set of Paul Component MiniMoto mini-v brakes! This seems to be among the hardest to find of Paul's limited edition colors. This color ran for about 10 months in 2018. Paul was using 1980's BMX components and the Campagnolo Super Record 50th anniversary gruppo as it's inspiration. These are designed for use with road brake levers or cantilever levers, both of which are short pull.  These are immensely popular for cyclocross bikes, touring bikes, and commuters.

Like our Motolite brake, the MiniMoto is a direct pull cantilever brake. This design is simpler to install than a traditional cantilever brake, and gives the MiniMoto a narrow profile.  The arms of the MiniMoto have been shortened to match the leverage of standard road brake levers, making the MiniMoto compatible with drop bar brake levers with integrated shifters.  The short curved arms give plenty of clearance for cyclocross tires or wide fenders. The spring tension is independently adjustable for each arm which means the brake can be precisely centered on the wheel and adjusted for return strength.  With a simple pivoting quick release on one arm, it’s easy to open the brake to remove a wheel. The cable enters the brake through a barrel adjuster at the top of the curved cable noodle. This adjuster makes it quick and painless to fine-tune the cable tension of the brake without tools.  Like the rest of our brakes, the MiniMoto has sealed stainless steel bushings in the pivots. These precisely machined bushings are what contact the brake posts of the frame and give the brake arms a smooth surface to pivot on.

Condition

These are nearly new, and have less than 100 miles on them.  Almost no marks on arms, none worth noting.  \Note that it is missing two pivots (Paul sells a set of pivots for $22). The pads are just barely getting broken in, and I could say 99% life left.
