Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

From one of the prettiest mountain bike groups ever made, this RD-M960 is a workhorse of a derailleur!  This model is known for it's smooth shifting, great durability, and shiny chrome finish!  Like most from this series, this is a rapidrise or low-normal model.  This means when the shift cable has no tension, you will be in the largest cog.  Puttting tension on the cable moves the derailleur into smaller cogs.

Condition: Brand new NOS, never mounted.  No box, but still has the orange "pro set" tab from the factory.  Practically perfect.

  • Rapid Rise
  • SGS long cage
  • From a 9-speed group, but compatible with 7/8/9/10 speed

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
