I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
These legendary mid 1990's 26'er tires were Ritchey's XC/Trail front and rear combo to sit alongside the ZMax. The AlfaBite is front specific with stiff corner knobs for killer cornering and braking, while the OmegaBite is rear specific and a climber's dream for traction and mud shedding. The clay-colored "red" tread was put on their lighter WCS tires (note, my white balance was a bit off and the tread is a bit more red than in the pics). These were stock or options on many fillet brazed and tig welded Ritchey models over the years (P-21, P-22...) or desired upgrades on Klein Attitude, Stumpjumper Ultimate/Epic, Fat Chance Yo Eddy, Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer, and many other early 1990's bikes. One of the top tires for pro racer level XC retro mountain bike restorations? These are EXTREMELY rare, especially new.
Condition
New old stock, never installed! The Omega is very close to pristine, and the Alfa is mostly mint but has a ~12" section of tread that has cracking. Sidewalls on both tires are very supple and free of cracking/dryness/crackling sounds even while flexed (see pics of me flexing sidewalls & tread). Tread aside from that 12" section is free from dryness/cracking even when bending. Very clean overall. These are 25 year old tires and even without the section of cracking tread would be considered questionable to ride due to the age of the rubber, but for a show bike these will look almost showroom fresh. The Omegabite could be ridden carefully, while the Alfa should be considered display only.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
