Description

Super rare titanium bar from 1990's American builder Steve McMahon of McMahon Racing Cycles.  This one is a 25.4mm clamp diameter.  The early 1990's MCR bars required a shim, and I could guess this one is a little later since it's shaped out to 25.4mm without a shim.  The early ones were brushed ti where this is polished ti.  Best guess is mid 1990's.  Like McMahon's frames, this bar was made by Sandvik from their top quality Ti325R titanium tubing. 

When restoring a minty retro mountain bike, finding an appropriately rad handlebar is often a struggle.  This one is unobtanium, and a worthy rider with no previous miles to compromise it! 

Condition

New old stock!  This one came to me loosely clamped in it's matching ti quill stem, and has zero marks from brake levers or shifters. Because of this I am confident it has never been installed on a bike.  Very close to absolutely mint condition.  Decals have just the tiniest bits of wear.  Zero crimping on uncut ends.  A few minor shop wear marks here and there.  The photos represent the condition accurately.
