I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
These are the ultralight, ultra-narrow XC race rims of the early 1990's! If you were building a super mtb to win the world cup circa 1990 to 1995, these were often your choice. They were part of the Paris Gao Dakar group that all the Mavic-equipped mountain bike race teams were issued. The M231 refers to the outer width of 23mm. Mavic also offered wider and heavier rims under the group, including the 26mm wide M-261 and 28mm M-281. Quite rare to find these unused!
Condition
New old stock, no wrapper. Somehow the decal got placed down a little off center from the eyelet. Never laced, very close to mint with just a touch of shop wear in spots. Show bike condition. Still has the Bike Gallery price tag

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
