I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. Description

Mafac's premier cantilever brakes have been well loved by touring cyclists, cross' riders, Randoneur's and mountain bikers since 1946.  This model was made all the way into the mid 1980's with minimal changes since 46'.  They were very popular with the early mountain bike pioneers (1981-84 Stumpjumper, Ritchey, Potts, etc).  Excellent performance, with classic looks.  Quite rare to find a NOS set!  These come with two brand new straddle cables from the 1980's (well, they're full length shift cables that have the necessary smaller than usual head. Cut them to your preferred length).

*Technically, one of these pairs is a Criterium Super Deluxe and one is just a Criterium.  The ONLY difference is the Super Deluxe has chrome pad holder bolt faces, where the Criterium is brushed aluminum like the rest of the hardware.  This wasn't noticed until after photographing, so on the first photo the upper right brake arm and the lower left brake arm are the chromed Super Deluxe*

Condition

New old Stock!  These have never been used, and are close to pristine.  The pads show zero wear.  Springs, hardware, and carriers are shiny and perfect.  Brake arms have some light scratching from storage, but look great!    For some reason,
