I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
Obscure set of BB taps for the old 26TPI Raleigh standard. This is what your old Raleigh Chopper, Twenty, cruisers, and countless others need to chase or re-cut your BB threads.
Raleigh (and other Raleigh brands like Rudge) use 1 3/8" x 26 TPI with left handed fixed cup. Unless it has 24 TPI. Generally a Raleigh with a bottom bracket wider than 70mm has 26 TPI and a narrower one is 24 TPI. If you are restoring an old bike you may need a thread gauge. (source Sheldon Brown)
Condition
Appears unused New old stock in retail box. This is likely a tool made in the 1960's or 1970's, and has some dried grease and such.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
