Description
Impossible to source original 1950's GB Superhood gum hoods! These were introduced in 1951 and had an update in 1953 when they were called Super Hood Plus and then again in 1957 the Super Hood Rapide. My research seems to indicate these hoods fit all three though the Rapide originally came with a half hood. The Super Hood levers were usually paired with the Courier & Courier plus brakes.
Condition
NOS with some aging. You had to cut a slot in these hoods for the adjusting ring in the front of the hood to use them, these are free of slots! Supple and clean with the exception of a nickel sized dry lower/rear corner that's hardened/cracked. Otherwise no cracking/drying. You can flex them easily with no cracking sounds or microcracking. Some general surface wear. Color is not faded or darkened
