Description

Early version of the threadless CK headset.  The NoThreadSet model was introduced in 1992. The first year or two, the top race said only "King Sealed Nothreadset" like this one. Sometime in the mid 1990's it changed to "Chris King Nothreadset" plus a handful of registration and manufacturing codes. All 1st gen were no logo and had a more "ovalized" cup shape which lead to a shorter stack height.  This changed somewhere late 1990's(?) to the current taller, rounder profile. Fairly rare and gives your retro mtb / roadie restoration a bit more period correct cool points.

Condition:

New old stock, installed on a show bike and not ridden past a test ride.. Mint aside from the lightest insertion marks on the flanges that go inside the frame.
