Why use a modern chain on your period correct 1980's build when you can get a vintage one?!  Taya chains were very popular on 80's and early 90's road and mountain bikes.  This particular chain was their top of the line 6/7/8 speed chain, and came stock on many XT and XTR bikes.  This one has silver outer plates and black inner plates.
