Description
This is the last generation of the curious and rare Light Action rear derailleur from the late 1980's and into the early 1990's. The long cage allows for up to reportedly a 34t cog and max capacity.
The Light Action derailleur's cable pinch bolt is mounted on a separately sprung arm (hidden in the paralellogram) allowing the rider to pre-select a gear while not pedaling. Once pedaling begins again, the shift occurs. This feature is great for commuters and city riders! If you don't do this, it functions just as a normal derailleur does.
