Description
New Shimano FF system chainring set with mounting hardware and chainring bolts. FFS stands for Front Freewheeling System, and was common on some late 1970's Schwinn lightweights like the Continental, Varsity, and Traveler. It's purpose was to allow shifting while coasting. The chain continues to spin while you coast, allowing the derailleur to shift in the same manner as it would like you were pedaling.
