Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This unique shifter set was designed to allow reliable shifting from the handlebars of road and TT bikes before the days that STI was considered reliable.  These grip shifters mount either at the bar end, or on the flats. They also work for mountain bike / flat bars, and were a popular upgrade for retro MTB builds.

This lot includes one complete set of shifters with all hardware and cables, plus a 2nd box with all internal hardware and barrel adjuster pieces

*The first box which is complete with shifters is marked model 125 (for Shimano 6/7 speed 105/600/XT/Exage..) and the 2nd box that's just hardware is marked 118 (which is Dura Ace 7/8 speed).  I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between the two models, but likely it's some small detail in the inner shift hardware.  If that's true, this MIGHT be able to be used as the 118 model for DA by using the hardware from the 118 box.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
