Description
Here's one for the old timers, and fans of Italian cycling's storied history! La Gazzetta dello Sport is an Italian sporting newspaper, which has been associated with cycling since the turn of the century and founded the Giro d'Italia in 1909. This is a quasi-replica of a jersey legends such as Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi (both of whom had multiple wins) would have worn in the 40's. Pink is the leader's jersey for the Giro d' Italia, the same color of paper the La Gazzetta dello Sport was printed on.
The jersey features 30's and 40's styled wing-tip two button collars, with a button at the center of the back of the collar as well. Many jerseys from this era had large pockets on the chest, as well as the back. Made of 100% wool, by Italian firm SMS Santini.
