Item Condition
I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
Alan Kingsbery of Kingsbery USA had most of his products (seatpost, water bottle cages, etc) made by American Classic. But for their gorgeous headset, they contracted the Argentinian company Saavedra. This headset is largely a re-branded Saavedra Super Competition. These were made in the early 1980's and maybe the late 1970's. They are exceedingly rare, to the point that I can't find another one that's been sold on ebay in the last 10 years. They are a sure conversation starter with its ovaloid shape akin to the Stronglight Delta and the engraved logos in an intriguingly weird font. This would look good on a classic road bike, or even on a 1990's retro MTB with a Campagnolo Record O.R. gruppo.
This little curiosity is the lightest threaded headset I've held in my hands at 94 grams. It is completely alloy except steel press-in races, with resin roller/needle bearing retainers.
Condition
Excellent to near mint shape. Mostly just wrench flat marks with a few VERY lightly scuffed spots elsewhere. Clean enough for many show bikes

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
