Description

Jean-Paul Routens was the son of famous French Constructeur Jo Routens, and the company merged names to JPR after JP took over.   This post was named the Extra-Legere, which is fitting because this post is sub 200 grams!  It has a rather unusual clamp design and lovely flutes.  It was part of the Huret Prestige - Jubilee gruppo, which was Huret's only attempt at a full gruppo.  Anything with the Routens name on it is loved by randonneurs.  This post is absurdly rare!

It's 23.8mm diameter is found on a handful of Peugeot frames throughout the decades, and is a diameter that's not found on many posts! If you ride a frame with this size, snatch this up to avoid a year long search if yours breaks!

Condition

Great used shape, with the exception of insertion marks.  Clamp and hardware show practically no wear. Insertion marks stop half an inch below the flutes, except for one line of it all the way up at the back of the post.  Certainly not clean enough for a show bike unless you sand out the upper insertion marks, but after doing that it could look amazing!
