Item Condition
I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This Interloc Racing stem from the mid 1980's is a rare one! They don't pop up very often, and most people don't even know they exist. It features a "double quill", which means there is the usual wedge expander to lock the stem into your steerer, and another wedge expander at the top of the quill to hold the stem extension in place. The stem is essentially a threadless stem (10 years ahead of it's time!) that's held in place with a quill to threadless adapter. The horizontal part of the stem does NOT have a binder bolt like threadless stems though. Awesome piece for your high end early mountain bike, such as Cunningham, Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer , Ibis, Moots Mountaineer, or Salsa A La Cart.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
