I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This rare early Hope disc brake caliper is a piece of 1990's mountain bike history. This is the first "production" version of Hope's first foray into disc stoppers. The Mark 1 and Mark 2 were basically prototypes, and were polished silver + among a few mechanical differences. This version was out roughly 1991 to 1995. These came in various mount formats for different forks of the era. I THINK this one is to fit the Manitou M2 and the Marzocchi XC500 (if you can positively confirm this or tell me I'm wrong and what fork they're actually for, I would love an email). This could be what you need to finish your retro mtb restoration, part of your mtb museum display. Or, buy it just for the clean pads if yours are worn!
Condition
Excellent used shape. Some patina in the finish that looks really cool, but no actual wear worth noting. Pads show almost no use

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
