Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

Lightweight and powerful XC brakeset from UK makers Hope Tech.  These get you cool points over the usual Shimano/SRAM Guide stuff.  These were made roughly 2004 to 2010+.

From MTBR: The Mono caliper is machined from single billet of 2014 T6 aluminium offering unrivalled stiffness and enhanced lever feel. It uses the Mini lever with a fixed caliper housing two opposing pistons. Caliper pistons contain stainless steel inserts to isolate the caliper from the heat generated in the pads. An open system allows for automatic pad wear adjustment and enables the brake to handle the highest temperatures without “pump-up”.

Condition

Near mint lightly used shape! Bleed feels solid.  Pads are ~90% life left.  The only real wear to note is a light scrape on the right lever's end.  Otherwise pretty close to mint with just some pinpoint size ano marks here and there.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
