Description
GT made these cool stems in 1991 and 1992. A "double quill" with two wedges makes this a highly adjustable stem. Insert the bottom end into your fork steerer, and slide the stem extension over the top quill and the top bolt tightens both. The extension can be flipped, offering both a rise position and a drop position. This design was also used by Grove Innovation, and on the IRD Ricky Racer stem. There's a good amount of the threadless flip flop stems around, but this quill is quite rare!
This stem is unpainted. There's a bit of purple/pink paint on an edge of the bar clamp area, so this was likely originally painted in pink splash paint.
Condition
Great to excellent used condition. It is unpainted, and the metal looks great with no rust. Only a few discolored spots. No gouges in metal
