Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

John Grafton began the CNC machined, anodized bike parts craze of the 1990's, and this is arguably his most popular piece.  They've been featured on countless Yeti ARC's, Fat Chance Yo Eddy's, and Klein Attitude's on display in bike museums and coffee shops.  They're machined out of a single piece of billet aluminum.  They were a huge step up from Grafton's first crank, the Topline-made Speed Stix which were simple round arms and a bolt on spider.

From John's workshop, the silver version came with silver anodizing. This set has had the anodizing removed and then polished to a mirror finish.  They come with their original alloy mounting bolts *Important: the cranks need to be tightened down with steel bolts, then you can put the alloy bolts in. If you use the alloy bolts to tighten the crank you will crack them.

Condition:

Near mint or better shape! Fresh polish with only a few miles since.  They present very close to pristine. The beauty of them being polished is if they're somehow not clean enough or you scratch them, you can just polish it up further! The arm ends have a few little scratches, and otherwise only a couple TINY imperfections not worth mentioning.  Tapers are slightly rounded but hold a spindle just fine. Alloy bolts are mint, I don't even see wrench flat marks.  Worthy of even the cleanest NOS show bikes!

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
