Gilles Berthoud GB2586 Handlebar Bag: Grey (Near Mint, Perfect Patina)

One of Berthoud's medium sized high end handlebar bags that's aged to perfection like a French wine.  It shows just the perfect amount of patina to make it look like a vintage work of art vs the a brand new one's overly polished and "flat" appearance.  The GB2586 is a upgraded version of the GB25 which uses elastic bungees to close all pockets.

Condition

Near mint with no damage to note and lovely appearance.  Canvas and leather are darkened just enough to look amazing without showing any significant wear.  The only things to note are a few pocket straps have just a touch of wear.

• Attaches with two leather straps to the handlebar or, better, with a "décaleur"
• The lid opens on the handlebar side and closes with a hook and an elastic string allowing the rider to easily reach the contents of the bag while riding.
• All pockets closed with a leather strap and buckle.
• Front pocket. Two pockets on each side. Two rear pockets.
• Mica map reader closed with Velcro.
• Zipped pocket under the cover, with a mica card pocket.
• Bottom reinforced with leather.
