Description

The French "GB" as in G. Blassieaux of Paris. No relation to Gerry Burgess or Gilles Berthoud. These lovely expander type bar end plugs were sold aftermarket. They were one of the most popular plugs for randonneur bikes in the 1940's and 1950's.  These are an often original and always period appropriate part for French Constructeur bicycles. They are the most common plugs on Herse and Singer bikes of the era. They show up on English and Italian bikes too!   They were made in 25mm outer diameter and 30mm—these are the smaller 25mm.  Quite rare!

Condition

Average used shape. Some staining to the white, rusty hardware. Give the hardware a scrub or replacement and maybe clean up the white a bit and these will be presentable enough
