Description

The first Nuovo Record brakes were produced in 1969.  They were identical to these, except they lacked a "Campagnolo" logo on the brake arms.  These brakes could be called version 1.5, and were produced from 1970 to 1974.  They feature flat quick release levers with the winged Campy logo (changed to domed/spoon shaped in 1978, CPSP version), and feature "Brev Camp" on the brake bolt shoulder (changed to "Patent" in 1975.  Also, tire guides were not dipped in rubber on these early versions. These early versions are RARE!

These brakes were used in the Super Record and Nuovo Record groups throughout the 70's, and are the gold standard for side pull brakes!  If you have a high end 70's road racing bike, chances are a version of Record brakes were stock parts on them.  If not, upgrade to these and add some prestige!  High performance, classic looks, and lightweight.  Great for show bikes, daily riders, or collectors!

Excellent, lightly used condition.  All hardware is included, and original.  Passes for NOS from 2 feet away!  Front brake is practically perfect.  Just a very light wear spot on the underside of the arms near the brake bolt.  Rear brake overall looks excellent, but has a few marks on the "brev Inter." side and the underside of the arms.  Adjuster barrels and rubber o-rings are mint.  Original pads have very little wear, and are plenty supple (easily dig a fingernail into them!).

*Brakes have NOT been disassembled for a deep clean.  They look amazing right now, but could be pristine with a full clean.
