Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

Early version of the threadless CK headset.  These first generation NoThreadSet features blank cups with no logos, and date to about the mid 1990's.  Fairly rare and gives your retro mtb / roadie restoration a bit more cool points.

Condition:

Near mint to  mint very lightly used condition.  Bearings are buttery smooth with zero grit or dryness.  Bottom cup has just a few tiny marks towards its lower edge, top cup and race are mint.  Top cap is a shade darker red than the rest of the headset, perhaps it is not original to the headset.

Details:

  • Size: One inch (1") threadless
  • Baseplate included
  • Color: Red

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
