Description

Beautiful untouched Campagnolo "Sport" headset, which was released with the Gran Sport gruppo.  The details are cloudy on what parts were labeled Gran Sport and which were purely Sport.  But this is the only GS headset made.  It's top cup has two wrench flats designating it as Gran Sport strada, as otherwise very similar Record Pista 1040 had 7 sides.  This Gran Sport has the same lower stack height as the Record Pista. 

These were made from the 1960's up to the very early 1980's with minimal changes.  The loose bearings is a sign it's a 60's model.

Condition

Mint, possibly NOS condition.  Can't find any blemishes to note.  It looks like it's seen a headset wrench, but you couldn't call it wrench flat wear.  Good enough for any show bike.
