Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

Athena was a competent group placed right below Chorus.  It was replaced by Daytona, which was quickly replaced with Centaur.  This derailleur was released with the Corsa Record-era 8 speed group, from 1988-1991.  It features a cool adjustable hanger bolt, which allows the short cage derailleur to run a cog as large as 30t when on the lowest notch.

Condition:

Great condition, with the exception of a scrape on the upper pulley flange.  Pulleys spin nicely with little wear.  Hardware in great shape.  Other than the scrape mentioned earlier on the upper flange, only a few very light marks.

Details:

  • Short cage
  • Model: D100
  • Compatible with 5, 6, 7, 8 speed drivetrains

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
