Is this the ultimate in low maintenance, high efficiency, and ease of use commuter bike?  It's driven by an 11 speed internally geared hub, the Shimano Alfine 11, and a Gates Belt Drive!  There's no dangling derailleur to get out of adjustment, and no chain to lube and get greasy!  full fenders with mud flaps combined with the "chain" guard keep you dry and clean from road spray.  The internal gearing allows you to shift while you are not pedalling.  If you're cruising at a good speed and get surprised by a red light, you can shift into an easier gear while you're waiting for the green light.

It has a racier feel than most dedicated commuters, yet still has an upright riding geometry.  Handling is quick and precise.  There's no mistaking this for a bicycle for a cruiser!  I switched out the stock flat mtb handlebar for an upside down moustache bar (Gusset Stash Bar).  This keeps your hands at natural ~45 degree angle, and gets you down a little lower for a more aggressive/sporty position. This is the same shape bar as comes stock on the Spot Brand Wazee and Champa.  With these bars, you have plenty of leverage to control the bike on gravel and rough dirt, turning this into a competent light touring and adventure bike!

This one has lots of upgrades! The most obvious are the fenders, pannier rack, and rear light (which aren't included stock).  Perhaps most importantly are the upgrade to Shimano Alfine hydraulic disc brakes!  Stock, the Acme comes with Avid Juicy or DB1 brakes, which are lackluster and noisy.  The Alfine's are roughly XT level, and are quiet brakes with  amazing power and modulation.  Other upgrades include a Brooks C17 Cambium saddle, 3T ARX Team stem, Shimano Alfine crank, and ergonomic handlebar grips.

Condition

Excellent+ very lightly used condition!  It has just under 400 miles on it.  This was one of my three around town bikes for the last year.  It's been regularly maintained, and is absolutely ready to ride!  Paint is near perfect.  Glossy all around, passes for showroom new from 3 feet.  The only wear to note is three or four tiny (1-2mm) paint chips and a 3mm section of decal wear, and a few VERY light paint rub spots.  All components are in excellent shape with no mechanical or aesthetic wear to note.  Alfine hub has had it's initial oil change, and shifts perfectly.
