Description

Top of the line Italian frame, with an Easton Scandium main triangle, and vibration dampening carbon stays. Originally this frame was built with Campagnolo Record 10-speed and a Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork. It retailed for $4000. The frame weighs in at a scant 2.1 pounds! Add an Ouzo Pro (offered on site!) and it's a sub 3 pound frame/fork. The chainstays have vibration dampening inserts (similar to Specialized Zertz) for a super smooth ride.

In the 1980's, the 3V Volumetrica was a prestigious steel bike that was a top competitor for Cinelli's and Pinarello's. This 3VS continues the reign, and is considered one of the most well rounded bikes ever made.

Scandium is an alloy, which is significantly stronger than 6000 & 7000 aluminum. This higher strength allows for thinner diameter tubing, which provides the superior ride characteristics of steel. Basically, it's a combination of aluminum's super low weight, and steel's supple responsive ride.

Excellent, very lightly used condition. Hardly a scratch. The only notable blemishes are a few small spots where the decals have worn and the paint shows through. Chainstays look great with minimal chain wear. Carbon is nearly perfect. Free from cracks, dents, bends, etc.  Includes frame only.
