Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This is an early 1st gen version, identified via the stamped steel lower clamp piece and the little red soft rubber button/plug in the shaft's hole.  These were released in about 1987 or earlier, and by 1989 they were in the widely known later format with alloy clamp pieces.   High quality build, made in America!  This is a road version, with an uncut 210mm length

Condition:

This one has marks throughout on the shaft, and is best for refinishing or your backup bike.  Or, maybe you just need the clamp pieces!

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
