Description

The GT LTS was a revolutionary full suspension mountain bike that ran from 1995 to 1999.  The 1995 and 1996 models used the Horst link suspension design, with a fixed 4" rear travel.  The LTS got a major upgrade in 1997 when it switched to the Trunnion mounted shock which allowed for either 3.7" or 4.7" of travel, which also gave either a lower or higher bottom bracket. The frame welds are enormous and gorgeous, and the headtube / downtube junction is beefed up with a gusset. 

This LTS-1 was the top version, above the LTS-2 and LTS-3.  It's stock pivot bushings have been upgraded with a needle bearing kit, making for an overall smoother suspension and more importantly stops the creaking the stock bushings are notorious for.  The Rockshox Super Deluxe has a heavier than stock 800lb coil spring.  Includes GT owners manual, Supplemental manual (for STS-DH, STS-1, STS-2, LTS-DH, LTS-1), and GT needle bearing kit instructions.

Condition

Excellent used condition!  Absolutely no dents or cracks!  Shock is near mint with hardly a mark, and feels great.  Super smooth with good compression/rebound, no leaks.  All pivots are super smooth and free of play.  BB threads and Decals overall look great, with just a touch of wear in spots.  The polished alloy finish does have it's share of scratches, scuffs, and dark rub spots.  The most obvious of these is a big dark spot on the front of the headtube, unknown cause.  This patina shows nicely, though if you wanted a show bike this could be polished up.
